Selected as general contractor for design/build of a medium size, 23,000 square foot Child Development Center with a capacity of 225 children, ages 6-10. Bhate, in a joint venture with NationView, LLC, an 8a Native American firm, constructed full commercial kitchen, teaching demo kitchen, computer lab, multi-purpose room/gymnasium, performing arts activity room, arts and science, homework center, staff lounge, gathering area, training room, laundry, gang toilets, playground with a hard surface for basketball and volleyball, an imagination area, and all necessary restrooms and staff required spaces, parking areas and landscaping.
The site is approximately 5 acres and has one playground. Each Child Development Center is a 2.2 LEED Certifiable project with innovative storm water bio-basins. The low-maintenance facility meets all USACE UFC requirements.
