Originally from Mississippi, Doug Sanders brings over 30 years of comprehensive experience in financial management and accounting. He has dedicated 15 years of his career to Bhate, where he has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the past 12 years. In this role, Doug has been instrumental in overseeing the company’s financial strategies and performance, ensuring robust financial health and sustainable growth.
Prior to his tenure at Bhate, Doug honed his expertise at a “Big 6” accounting firm and gained invaluable experience in internal auditing for a Fortune 500 company. His diverse background also includes over 20 years of specialized experience in the construction industry, where he has developed a deep understanding of the unique financial challenges and opportunities within this sector. Additionally, Doug served as Controller for a prominent waste services company for over 8 years, where he was responsible for the financial operations of four facilities, managing revenues exceeding $50 million.
Doug is highly skilled in financial management, with a strong emphasis on federal and government accounting practices. His analytical acumen and leadership capabilities have consistently contributed to the financial success of the organizations he has worked with.
Outside of his professional commitments, Doug is an avid golfer, loves to cook, and enjoys spending quality time with his family. He has a passion for sports, particularly Auburn athletics, and has previously volunteered as a youth softball coach.
