Steve Hendrix brings over 38 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries, following the completion of his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His extensive background spans both commercial and government sectors, including federal, state, and local markets.
The majority of Steve’s experience has been in program and project management, administrative consulting, and engineering services, with a particular focus on industrial construction and Department of Defense (DoD) petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL) fuel systems. During the first 20 years of his career, he served as a Field Engineer and Project Manager on a diverse range of industrial construction projects across the continental United States, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
For the past two decades, Steve has held leadership roles as a Project Manager, Program Manager, and Director overseeing DoD POL fuel systems projects and programs in support of various DoD executing agencies. Most recently, he served as Director of Fuel Systems on several Air Force engineering and construction contracts throughout the continental U.S.
Currently the Fuels Program Director at Bhate, Steve leads a multidisciplinary team including Project Managers, Project Controls personnel, Project Coordinators, Site Superintendents, Quality Control Managers, and Health and Safety Officers.
