Bhate was retained by AFCEC for API Tank Inspections and repairs at McConnell AFB. Bhate performed API 653 Inspections: API Tanks 30001, 30005, 30012 and 30013 and performed a validation of aboveground bulk fuel storage tank facilities utilizing “Checklist for Tank Inspection” (Annex C of API 653). Bhate cleaned and vapor freed the tanks prior to beginning inspections.
Following initial inspection, Bhate performed an out of service API 653 tank inspection and produced a preliminary report accompanied by a list of necessary repairs for tank compliance with API 653. Design documents were prepared, submitted, reviewed and approved prior to starting construction activities. Follow-on repairs were performed after completing design documents and negotiations with the Government. Repairs were completed in accordance with API-653 and other applicable standards.
