Bhate was retained to perform Industrial Storage Tank (IST) Environmental Services, including storage tank evaluations/inspections, assessment, and repairs throughout bases in the East Region. Bhate prepared a Program-Wide QAP/Work Plan, a Quality Control Program Plan, and a SSHP (including AHAs for each installation). All repairs were conducted in accordance and compliance with federal and state specific regulatory requirements and standard industry practices. Repairs included: emergency vents and vent pipes; vacuum and pressure vents; signage, emergency placards; automatic tank gauging systems; leak detection monitoring systems; leak detector devices; valve flanges, filter separators, and strainers; liquid level gauges and low-level controls; high-level control valves and alarms; spill containment buckets; flow restrictors; tank surface preparation and coatings; containment and transition sumps; product recovery pump; overfill drop tubes; AST transfer pump systems; fire extinguishers; nozzles; direct read gauges; anti-siphon, shear, and fire valves; steel bollards around ASTs; electrical and static grounding; and STAR Database Update.
