Bhate is seeking an experienced Mid-level Environmental Project Manager with at least 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably in the Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering field. Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Environmental Site Assessments, asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and air quality inspections, NEPA compliance, Stormwater management, and related environmental compliance inspections. Candidate will be responsible for working with multiple clients and contractors in both the commercial and government sector. The successful candidate will be required to write proposals and reports for Phase I and II ESAs, ACM/LBP/Mold Surveys & Abatement Specifications, PCAs, Radon Testing, Industrial Hygiene Services, schedule personnel, manage budgets, compile data, review reports, collect field samples, and communicate with clients to ensure successful and timely completion of all projects.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are also required. Candidates must be versatile, have good problem solving skills and able to work well independently. Computer literacy is a must and proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access) software is required. GIS/GPS experience is also a plus.
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER trained with updated 8-hr annual refreshers preferred.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Asbestos and lead paint (inspector/designer) certifications/licenses preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a must as some travel will be necessary.
This position is an immediate need to be located in the Birmingham, AL area.
