The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) awarded three Task Orders valued at $4.3M for fuel system API inspections and repairs, and various POL repairs of 15 DLA-funded bulk fuel storage tank systems at six Installations: Youngstown ARB, OH, McConnell AFB, KS, Luke AFB, AZ, Hill AFB, UT, Edwards AFB, CA and Sheppard AFB, TX.
Bhate will manage, inspect, design, and provide construction oversight, field quality control, onsite safety. The scope of services includes tank cleaning, API validation inspections, and various construction and repairs. Activities include, such as, installation of floor and shell repair patch plates, slotted stilling wells, seal welds, pits repairs, tank strapping, replace gaskets, bolts, nuts, caulking, interior and external coatings, exterior pipe repairs, roof repairs, repair of cracks in secondary containment, caulking around chime to concrete, replacement of drain sumps, upgrade of emergency fuel shutoff (EFSO), repair of pump house insulation, grounding verification, installation of emergency eyewash/shower, repair and upgrade of containment systems, and construction of canopies.
