Bhate is committed to continuous improvement of its positive safety culture. In January 2014, Sally Smith, CIH, Bhate’s Health and Safety Director, proposed a Safety Slogan contest to promote employee involvement. Employees were encouraged to come up with a simple yet effective reminder to incorporate safety into every activity.
After reviewing many entries, Zack Beck of Bhate’s Denver, CO, office was selected as the winner in a unanimous decision by Bhate’s Principals Jay Carter, Johnny Roberts and Sam Bhate. His idea incorporated Bhate’s company icon and “safe” to create “B Safe”, a straightforward reminder of maintaining safety on and off the job. Congratulations Zack, and “B Safe”!
