IT Professional – Birmingham, AL

Bhate is seeking to fill a full-time position for an IT Professional in the Birmingham, AL area. The IT Professional will report directly to the Director of IT. This position will require experience in MS SQL Server, MS Exchange servers, server clustering, VDI environments (Dell vWorkSpace and/or Citrix), as well as all levels of Active Directory. Candidates should also be well versed in MS Office, MS SharePoint, VOIP technologies, as well as cellular connectivity. Solid organization skills, schedule management, and communication skills are a must. Experience in SharePoint software is desired.

Routine assignments will include technical assistance and support for incoming inquiries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Assignments will also include helpdesk response to Bhate staff members either in person, over the phone, or via email messages to resolve technical issues or offer advice. Good technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The IT Professional will serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
  • Assist in training personnel on new installations with willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with employees to ensure issues have been resolved.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • IT related experience is required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background investigation and obtain a Security Clearance is a must.
